What is nutrition coaching?

It’s quite simple. Nutrition Coaching is the most effective way to get results. You get live sessions on a regular basis (equivalent to consults) , and unmatchable guidance and support. Everything done online. And everything is tailored to you and your needs: from the tools to the approach. It's the most effective program out there.

Is there a difference between a Dietitian and a Nutritionist?

YES! Registered Dietitians are the only recognized nutrition experts with a protected title and professional orders (really it is to ensure the protection of the public). We have a 4-year (at least) university degree and over 1,400 hours of internship under our belts, controlled continuing education throughout our years of practice, and science/evidence-based practice.

The title of nutritionist is not protected, unless you are in Quebec, Nova-Scotia, or Alberta. Outside of these provinces, anyone could call themselves a nutritionist. That means watch out with who you go to, who you follow, and what you read online.

What’s intuitive eating?

If diets didn’t exist, intuitive eating would simply be called eating. Intuitive eating is an approach based on specific principles, that revolves around your well-being and health. Mindfulness and self-awareness are put forward. This approach helps you understand your body needs and create more structure by building a healthy relationship with food.

What do you specialize in?

I’m a registered dietitian nutritionist who specializes in behavioral and intuitive eating, as well as digestive health. I am a firm believer of mindfulness practices and their impact on our health, balance, well-being, and digestive health.

How can mindfulness help me achieve my goals?

There’s no easy answer to this one because it depends on your goals. What I can tell you is that mindfulness allows you to be in touch with your body and self. It is key to building real lifestyle habits and getting results that will last a lifetime. Instead of following generic rules, you build customized tools. Not sure of how it applies to you? What about diets for fast results?

Diets are never the answer. Results can be attained quickly without dieting, but that will depend on your level of determination. Here’s the catch: fast results do not mean lasting results. My Nutrition Coaching Program is built around the principle that you should create a journey to build your better self in the short and long term, no matter where you start.

Do you do meal plans?

Meal plans are so generic. What do meal plans know or say about your story? Meal plans are not enough to fix disordered eating patterns and poor food choices. Let me take care of the numbers. You put all the focus on what you're here for: YOU. Through my program, you will create structure and balance while enjoying your food. You will realize that throughout our journey together, you will be building your own Feel Good Plan.

Will I need to cut out foods?

I’m an anti-diet dietitian and a total foodie. I do not believe in food restrictions and strict regiments. I will never suggest nor encourage that you cut out foods, rather work on the behavioral patterns and emotional associations to help you reach your goal. I eat chocolate everyday, why shouldn't you?

How long are the programs?

I am not here to sell you a miraculous solution. I am here to work with you and help you build the tools and skill set to overcome your obstacles and challenges. I am here to guide you through the ups and downs. My programs are a minimum of 6 months, because less time would not be enough. Most clients have continued after that. Of course, they reach another level and work on different things. But the transformation and results after 6 months are undeniable.

Can you still help me if I have food restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, lactose intolerance, celiac,...)?

OF COURSE! My job is to help guide you and give you the nutrition tools you need to reach your goals. I respect your wants and needs. I adapt all the tools to YOU, and will never force you into or out of anything. Everything will be tailored to you. I got you!

Where do you provide services?

I deliver online nutrition coaching, so I can help you achieve your goals no matter where you are. All you need is an internet connection.

I struggle with food cravings and/or binge eating. Can you help?

Yes, yes, a million times YES! My Online Nutrition Coaching Programs are built strategically to pinpoint the main obstacles and the unhealthy associations made with food. You will get the personalized help, the ongoing support, the tools, and above all, the accountability. Everything you need to build healthy and balanced habits, WITHOUT restrictions and strict diets. Let's kick guilt to the curb and find pleasure in food.

Can you help me with my exercise regiment?

I stick to what I know, and I’m not a certified trainer. However, what I can help you with is building lifestyle habits that will be realistic and sustainable. I’m a dietitian nutritionist who works on much more than just nutrition. I am a crazy organized person and will help you gain more control over your life in order to make space and time your activities better, including your physical activities. Last but not least, I focus on mindfulness and wellness. So I will always have your back to make sure you reach your potential without burning yourself out.

How can I track my progress throughout the program?

It’s all about non-scale wins over here! As a Dietitian Nutritionist, I am well aware that tracking progress is KEY to achieving real results. I will never ever use weight or numbers as references. Milestones are a very personal thing. In my Online Nutrition Program, we will set specific and timely objectives, and re-assess regularly to ensure progress. You will get on-going support, and strong acountability through my online plateform and exclusive 24/7 access to me.

Is this a weight loss program?

This nutrition program does not focus on weight loss. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who will help you find balance and reach objectives bigger than the numbers on the scale. We tend to focus on weight all too much, instead of our well being. Your weight might change, or not, depending on how your body feels. All I can tell you is that I will help you achieve self awareness and balance in your nutrition, daily habits, and lifestyle. We will set the record straight regarding emotional eating, behavioral patterns, stress, time management and organization. You can guess this will lead to real changes.
